In this ever expanding world of supercars, we are witnessing the launches of new supercars from the big guns and new bespoke manufacturers left, right and centre, and sometimes it seems like every day now. Every automaker in the supercar business is now just churning out different models in hundreds of categories, and of those hundreds of models comes another thousands of variations. Here’s a coupe, a spider, a track focused special edition, an even more special edition of already special edition track focused version and on and on (talking about you McLaren 600LT, 600LT Spider, 620R and Mercedes AMG Gtr, Gtr Pro, Gtr roadster, GT black series). This list can go for miles as almost every manufacturer is doing the same thing. Before you call me out saying that Porsche does the same with GT3, GT3 RS and GT2 RS, then you’re wrong as those are although designed to rip around the track, those sit on different price brackets and cater to different segments of buyers.
The problem is not these manufacturers launching new models, but instead it is the way that they are doing it. They are just saturating the market, destroying the values of cars and ultimately making the customer annoyed with those massive hits of depreciations. And with this article, I present you the reasons why Porsche has aced all of its competition and has now became the greatest supercar manufacturer.

1. Came Ahead of the Curve

Although at the time Porsche received enormous amounts of criticism from its purists, the launch of the Cayenne and Panamera helped Porsche to increase its sales by huge amounts helping it to enter a new league, and with the increase in revenue it further helped the development of its GT product line, which everyone enjoys so much. And now we can see other manufacturers trying to emulate the same success.(talking about you Lamborghini and Aston Martin)

2.Produces the most reliable supercars

When you design a product and then keep on evolving it for generations, you create a precision tool. The Porsche 911 is that precision tool that you can use as a daily to get your groceries, and after dropping them at your home, you can take your 911 for a hoon and embarrass other supercars on the track. All without the fear of breaking down. Those German engineers have perfected every inch of the car and made it an absolute piece of perfection. (Sorry Italians)
3. Listens to its customers

Porsche is the brand that doesn’t produce what they want to sell, they produce what their customers demand. Porsche takes the feedback of their customers and make cars that the purists demands (except bringing back the air cooled engines). They don’t care about the people that want to flip their cars for profit (GT3 Touring was the answer to those flippers that were waiting to flip their 911 R’s), they just care about their loyal customers who enjoy the driving experience that their cars provide.

4. Best value for money

You can have any amount of money and you can get your hands on that Porsche driving experience (when you include the used market) which cannot be said about any other manufacturer. Even their old cars are an absolute delight to drive, and their new stuff just has the levels of performance that are pretty reasonable for their prices. Also unlike other brands people don’t have to endure 100s of thousands in depreciation.
5. Great motorsport heritage

As much as the road cars are impressive by this brand, their motorsport division is also one of the greatest in the game. From winning in Targa Florio, Sebring, Daytona, and Le Mans to rallying. Porsche has aced in a good chunk of motorsports and has a huge heritage. All the things learned by their motorsports department trickles down to its road cars, improving its automobiles ever so slightly everytime.

These are the reasons why I think Porsche is currently the greatest Supercar manufacturer, and every other manufacturer is trying to become like them. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
